π³ Connecting Your WisePOS E Card Reader
It only takes a few minutes to connect your new card reader. Follow the steps below to set up your WisePOS E and link it to salonMonster.
π 1. Insert the Battery & Charge the Reader
With the back of the device facing you, lift from the indentation at the bottom-left corner to remove the back cover.
Insert the battery into the slot with the gold connectors aligned at the top .
Charge the reader:
Plug the provided cable into the port with the lightning bolt symbol , or
Use the USB-C port , or
Use the Ethernet dock (optional).
- Once fully charged, hold down the power button (right-hand side) until the screen turns on.
βΉοΈ Note: Even when not in use, leave the WisePOS E plugged in and powered on to receive automatic software updates. With a full charge, the battery lasts about 8 hours .
πΆ 2. Connect the Reader to Your Network
On first startup, the reader usually asks for Wi-Fi details automatically.
If not, open Wi-Fi settings manually:
Swipe right from the left edge of the screen.
Tap Settings .
Enter the admin PIN: 07139 .
Select Wi-Fi settings .
Choose your Wi-Fi network and tap Connect .
β οΈ The WisePOS E only supports password-protected Wi-Fi networks . Open networks are not supported.
π 3. Connect the Reader to Your salonMonster Account
In salonMonster:
Go to Settings β Payment Processing .
Click Register a new card reader .
salonMonster will now be ready to accept a pairing code .
On your card reader:
If registering for the first time , the reader will automatically display a pairing code .
If not, open it manually:
Swipe left to right to open the Settings menu .
Tap Settings and enter the admin PIN: 07139 .
Tap Generate pairing code .
Back in salonMonster:
Enter the pairing code .
Click Register card reader .
Restart the reader: hold the Power button and select Restart to apply updates.
β Youβre Connected!
Your WisePOS E card reader is now linked to salonMonster and ready to accept payments.
π§ Troubleshooting
If the reader doesnβt appear, reload salonMonster .
Restart the reader and reconnect to Wi-Fi if needed.
