💲 Creating a Discount

You can easily create discounts in salonMonster to apply during checkout for sales or services.

✨ Here’s How

1. Open Settings

From the Menu ☰ , select Settings .

1. Select Point of Sale

Choose Point of Sale from the list.

1. Access Discounts

Under Point of Sale settings, select Discounts .

1. Choose Discount Type

You can create two types of discounts:

• Salon Discounts — available to all staff at the salon.

• Stylist Discounts — available only to you.

For example, to create a salon-wide discount, select Salon Discounts .

1. Create a New Discount

Tap the ＋ in the top-right corner to add a new discount.

1. Set Discount Details

• Name your discount — give it a clear name for easy identification.

• Enter the discount rate — either as a percentage (e.g., 10%) or a fixed amount (e.g., $5).

• (Optional) For commission salons, choose whether the discount affects commissions:

* 
**Discount Commission ON**
— reduces the commission by the same percentage as the discount.



* 
**Discount Commission OFF**
— calculates commission based on the full price before discount.

1. Save the Discount

Tap Save to apply your settings.

✅ Tip: Once you’ve saved a discount, you can apply it directly during checkout when completing a sale.
