Depending on which version of Salon Iris / DaySmart you use, the export process is a little different.

You can send us whatever data you would like moved over.
🌐 If You Use DaySmart Salon Online / Cloud
👥 Export Your Clients
Log into your DaySmart Salon account.
Go to Reports.
Select Customer Reports.
Leave the filters set to All wherever possible so all clients are included.
Under Include in Report, select as many client and contact details as possible.
Run the report.
Export the report to Microsoft Excel.
💡 Tip: Include as much client information as possible, particularly names, phone numbers and email addresses. This helps us match clients correctly to their appointments.
📅 Export Your Appointments
Go to Reports.
Select Appointment Report.
Choose the date range you would like to export.
We recommend including your past appointment history as well as your future appointments.
If you have several years of appointments, exporting one year at a time usually works best.
Under Appointment Status Types, select the appointment statuses you want included.
In most cases, you can leave Cancelled appointments out.
Under Include in Report, select all available details so the export contains client, service and staff information.
Choose Microsoft Excel as the export format.
Run the report and download the file.
⚠️ Having trouble exporting a large date range?
DaySmart may time out when generating very large reports. Try exporting your appointments in smaller date ranges, such as one calendar year at a time. You can send us multiple files and we'll put everything together.
💻 If You Use Salon Iris / DaySmart Desktop
The Desktop version has a built-in database export tool.
Open DaySmart Salon on your computer.
Select Tools from the top menu.
Choose Export to Text File.
In Export Database Information to a File, select the information you want to export.
Click Export.
Choose a file name and location when prompted for each file.
DaySmart saves each selection as a separate tab-delimited .txt file.
Send us the original .txt files — you don't need to convert them before sending them.
📅 What About Appointments on the Desktop Version?
Appointment data can be more difficult to extract from some Desktop versions of Salon Iris / DaySmart.
If you don't see an appropriate appointment or booking export, contact DaySmart Support and tell them you're moving to another scheduling system and need your appointment data exported.
If possible, ask for your data in CSV, Excel (XLS/XLSX), or tab-delimited text format rather than an XML database backup.
If you're unsure what DaySmart has given you, send us the files and we'll take a look.
📤 Send Your Files to salonMonster
Once you have your exports, you can:
Email them to [email protected], or
Send them to us through the in-app messenger
If you've exported your appointments in several files or date ranges, just send them all to us. We'll combine them as part of the import.
✅ That's It!
Once we receive your files, we'll review them and import as much of your Salon Iris / DaySmart data as possible into salonMonster.
We'll let you know if we need anything else before starting the import.
