Moving from DaySmart Software to salonMonster

Updated this week

Recently we have found that many people using DaySmart have not been able to export their information theirselves. In this case you will need to contact DaySmart support and request an export. They typically take a while to respond but when they do they will send you a one-time export of your clients, products, services, gift cards (sometimes) and occasionally a file with appointments. But usually they just send an XML backup file we cannot use.

When you're moving from DaySmart Software to salonMonster we can import your DaySmart data for you so you're ready to go with all your information!

We can import from DaySmart Software:

  • Client details

  • Bookings

  • Products

You don't have to import all of these items, you can choose which you would like to copy.

To do this we just need you to export your data from Rosy and send it through to us. We'll take care of the rest πŸͺ„

To export your clients from DaySmart:

  • Click on the Reports tab

  • Click Customer Reports

  • Leave the "Filters" set to "All ..." for all the options at the top

  • Select as many demographic details as possible from the "include in report"

  • Run the Report and export it as an Excel File

  • Once you receive the exported file from DaySmart please forward it to us at [email protected]

NOTE: If you receive an alert message when attempting to run a report with a large amount of data, you may need to limit the date range selected before running the report.

For more details you can view DaySmart's help guide.

To export your bookings from Daysmart:

  • Click on the Reports tab

  • Select the Appointment Report link

  • Set the date range for the appointments you want to export. If you need to run the report for multiple years, you will need to run a separate report for each year of Appointment history. We recommending exporting all appointment data.

  • Choose one or more Appointment Status Types to only include details in the report for Appointment associated with those types. We typically recommend excluding cancelled appointments

  • Check the box beside all items in the "Include in Report" section to make sure all the data is exported.

  • Choose the Microsoft Excel export option and run the report.

  • Once you receive the exported file from DaySmart please forward it to us at [email protected]

NOTE: Your connection may time out resulting in an Internal Server Error message when attempting to run a report with a large amount of data. It might be necessary to limit the date range selected before running the report.

For more details you can view DaySmart's Appointment Report guide.

Once you've exported your data just send it through to us via our support chat or to [email protected] and we'll get onto importing it for you πŸ‘πŸ» πŸŽ‰
