Navigate to Sales: Start by selecting "Sales" from the main menu of your application. This is where you'll find all the transactions processed through your system.

Search for the Sale: You have two options to find the sale you intend to refund:

  • Use the Search Function: If you know specific details about the sale (like the customer's name, date, or receipt number), use the search bar to locate it quickly:

  • Browse Sales Records: If you prefer browsing, you can filter sales by date range. For example, to view sales from this year, set your date filter accordingly and scroll through the list to find the sale you wish to refund.

Access Sale Options: Once you've located the sale you want refunded, look for the dropdown menu in the top right corner of the sale. Click on this dropdown to see available actions:

Choose Refund: From the dropdown options, select "Refund Sale."

If the sale consists of multiple items and you only need to refund a specific item, you can do so by checking only the items you wish to refund (1). Once you have selected the items to refund then select the "Refund" button (2).

The sale window will display a negative amount, indicating the refund. This amount should match the total you intend to refund to the customer. Select 'continue'.

It will take you to a summary of the refund details. Now select 'charge' to refund the client.

Finalize the Refund: Select the payment type with which you will refund the client then select 'save':

Sending a receipt: Once the refund is processed, you can either send the receipt to the customer electronically or print it out. You can choose the appropriate action based on your or the customer's preference:
